What updates over the air

One update path for the whole platform.

No packages to download, no scripts to run, no host to log into. Every component Gluesync deploys is versioned, tracked and upgraded from the same place.

  • 01

    Core Hub

The control plane and its API. Updated first, restarted cleanly, and your session is refreshed automatically once it is back online.

  • 02

    Agents

Every source and target connector in your deployment moves to the matching version, so the stack never drifts out of alignment.

  • 03

    Modules

Chronos schedules and events, Conductor and every Control Plane module are upgraded in the same run.

  • 04

    Monitoring stack

The bundled Traefik, Prometheus, Grafana and Portainer images are refreshed alongside the platform.

  • 05

    Gluesync Control

The Windows and Linux control app updates itself: signed, SHA-256 verified, and on Linux on a daily automatic schedule. The running platform is never stopped.

How it works

From notification to verified in four steps.

  1. Notified

The platform polls for new releases. A Platform updates button with a counter appears in the Control Plane header the moment something is ready.

  2. Reviewed

Open the update center to see every pending component, with release notes and changelog per item before anything installs.

  3. Applied

Click Update all. Services update one at a time: each restarts and stabilizes before the next one starts.

  4. Verified

Each component gets its own green check. Old images are pruned automatically to keep the disk clean.

Engineering advantages

Built so updates never become an outage.

  • Rolling, sequential restarts

Dependent services never restart together: one service updates, recovers, then the next begins.

  • Per-service tracking

Every component reports its own state (idle, running, success, failed) with the exact error text if something goes wrong.

  • Selective retries

Retry only the component that needs it. Everything already updated stays as it is.

  • Release channels

Run GA in production, Beta or Alpha in staging. Switch channels from Global settings in the UI.

  • Mandatory update flags

Compatibility releases are flagged as mandatory, so version skew across the stack never sneaks in.

  • Verified delivery

Gluesync Control checks size, SHA-256 and the MOLO17 code signature before it installs anything.

  • Automatic safety net

With Gluesync Control the compose file and environment are backed up before every update and restored automatically if a service fails to start.

  • Air-gapped ready

No internet on the host? Offline update packages with a SHA-256 manifest bring the same upgrade to isolated networks.

Update anywhere

The same experience on every platform.

Control Plane UI

One click from the dashboard, on Linux and Windows Server alike.

gluesync update

Scriptable from the command line with Gluesync Control: list, dry-run, pick a channel, apply.

gluesync update --list
gluesync update --dry-run
gluesync update -y

Offline packages

Signed, checksummed packages for air-gapped sites, applied with the same engine.
