Query Studio is fully embedded in the Gluesync Control Plane and provides a structured workspace for interacting with connected data sources.
The interface includes:
- a schema browser for navigating databases, schemas, tables, and columns
- a multi-tab SQL editor for composing and managing queries
- a results console for viewing query outputs, execution logs, and analysis information
This layout is designed to support efficient navigation and query execution across multiple environments.
Query capabilities and developer support
To support a wide range of use cases, Query Studio includes several productivity-focused features:
- dialect-aware autocomplete for supported database engines
- explain plan visualization for analyzing query execution strategies
- query parameter support for dynamic query execution
- saved queries for reuse across sessions and teams
- export options including CSV, JSON, and SQL INSERT formats
These capabilities help streamline both ad-hoc analysis and repeatable validation workflows.
Multi-engine support
Query Studio supports 16 database engines out of the box, covering a broad set of relational and analytical systems. Consequently, teams can interact with heterogeneous environments through a consistent interface inside Gluesync.
Security and governance
Security and operational control remain central to Query Studio’s design. Key governance features include:
- role-based access control (RBAC) for managing user permissions
- read-only mode by default, helping protect production systems
- optional write mode for authorized roles such as SUPER_ADMIN and MANAGER
- query auditing with 90-day retention for traceability and compliance
