A new concept of social network platform where time spent watching contents produces profits. MOLO17 has been involved in the development of the Fashtime Android app written entirely in Kotlin.
Meet high quality standard requirements and a strict deadline to satisfy social network users’ expectations. Follow the evolution of the iOS app and its team on the customer’s side and provide a seamless and complete user experience without compromise and while respecting the release date agreed with the business.
A highly skilled team of Kotlin for Android experts has been put in place, who are able to work with a test-driven approach to achieve great app stability, feature after feature, without needing to spend precious time on fixing bugs.
The team provided feedback on the Android design provided to meet the platform-specific user interface guidelines and all push notification related architecture.
Image focus tracking and time spent tracking
What makes FashTime unique despite other social networks is the user remuneration through the conversion of time spent on watching contents giving them FashTime coins, their own e-coin. This is made possible thanks to the implementation of specific algorithms that allow action tracking inside specific contents and the time spent on this.
Custom camera controls and image elaboration
The content creation flow for FashTime has required the development of a custom camera implementation inside the app. After a picture is taken, it is processed and the user can add custom colored tags to it. These tags can be inserted dragging them onto the picture and then their position coordinates will be linked to the picture. At the end there’s a custom aspect-ratio, dimensions and resolutions constraints to respect before uploading the image to the server.
