# Gluesync 2.2 Updates: Pipeline Maintenance & Parquet Optimization

19 Mar 2026  [Gluesync](/blog/?category=gluesync)  2 min read

The latest Gluesync 2.2 releases introduce granular operational control with Maintenance Mode, smarter Parquet file processing for Big Data workloads, and a streamlined Control Plane UX.

Following the major architectural leap of [Gluesync 2.2.0](https://molo17.com/blog/gluesync-2-2/) earlier this month, which introduced a highly scalable plugin-based agent system, MOLO17 is excited to announce a series of rapid updates culminating in the **latest 2.2.1 release**.

These recent updates focus on giving database administrators more granular control over active pipelines, optimizing resource consumption for Big Data workloads and further refining the Control Plane’s user experience.

Here is a look at the key capabilities and enhancements introduced in the latest Gluesync 2.2 releases.

## Greater operational control: Maintenance Mode and Pipeline Reset

Managing enterprise data pipelines requires flexibility, especially during infrastructure updates. With release 2.2.1.0, we have introduced **Pipeline Maintenance Mode**.

This feature allows administrators to temporarily pause data synchronization for routine maintenance, source database updates or troubleshooting. Crucially, it suppresses the constant warning notifications and known errors associated with temporarily disconnected databases, all without losing connection settings or historical data.

Additionally, we have introduced a **Pipeline Reset** function, accessible via the _Danger zone_ in the settings tab. This allows teams to instantly clear checkpoint data and restart synchronization from scratch. An invaluable tool when data needs to be completely reprocessed or when correcting complex synchronization anomalies.

## Smarter Parquet file processing for Data Lakes

For enterprises pushing massive datasets to cloud storage targets like **AWS S3, Azure Data Lake Storage** and **Google Cloud Storage**, memory efficiency is paramount.

In update 2.2.0.2, we rolled out significant enhancements to the **MOLO17 ParquetKt Library**. Gluesync now features dynamic memory management for Parquet file processing. The system continuously monitors memory usage and can intelligently offload processing to disk when RAM is insufficient. This ensures rock-solid stability and prevents out-of-memory disruptions during high-volume data ingestion.

## Core Hub stability and streamlined UX

We are continuously polishing the Gluesync Control Plane to make day-to-day operations smoother and more secure. Recent updates bring several quality-of-life and infrastructure improvements.

### **Streamlined agent deployment**

We have optimized the UI to require fewer clicks when deploying new agents, alongside a redesigned initial splash screen for a better onboarding experience.

### **Enhanced TLS management**

Improved support for TLS certificates during the upload and management phases ensures secure database communication is easier to configure.

### **Optimized local caching**

For agents utilizing local cache, we have improved the rotation and eviction mechanisms, delivering noticeably better performance and stability for Windows users.

### **Network reliability**

We resolved an edge-case issue (GSSD-641) that caused UDP broadcast flooding on certain Linux distributions running recent kernel updates, ensuring clean and quiet network operations.

## Continuous agent refinements

As part of our commitment to reliability across heterogeneous environments, these releases include targeted fixes and performance enhancements across our extensive **connector ecosystem**. Notable updates have been applied to:

-   **Oracle:** both LogMiner and Triggers agents;
-   **Microsoft SQL Server:** both Change Data Capture (CDC) and Change Tracking (CT) agents;
-   **IBM i Series:** continued enhancements for journal-based CDC;
- **other major targets and sources:** PostgreSQL, YugabyteDB, Snowflake, MariaDB, MySQL and CockroachDB.

**Ready to upgrade?**

These updates reinforce Gluesync 2.2 as the most resilient and scalable version of our real-time data integration platform to date.
